Banks and Families go to Mediation to Stop Home Foreclosures

Housing Nightmare Upends Family, Enriches Investor

Boston Mayor proposes legislation to require homeowners and mortgage lenders to participate in mediation before foreclosure proceedings. Although the legislation will not help families who have already lost their homes, mediation offers families and banks the opportunity to work out a deal that is beneficial to both parties.

This Boston Legislation is heading in the right direction! It is critical that banks work with homeowners in creative ways to reach a solution, and mediation offers the perfect starting point.
