Elder Mediation: Helping Adult Families Resolve Conflicts

Adult children often begin to have concerns about their parents as they age. Instead of the kids deciding amongst themselves what to do about their parents, elder mediation may be a way to prevent the dispute from slowly culminating into an explosion that splits the family apart.

This is a tricky situation but “mediators come in as a neutral third-party to help families negotiate difficult situations and choices.” Together, the family members can come up with a unified solution while still leaving everyone dignified and respected.
