ADR expanding in Hong Kong

Boost for HK’s Development as an International Arbitration Hub

In an attempt to increase arbitration and mediation in Hong Kong and the mainland as well as international arbitration, the government has expanded the floor space of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for additional hearing space and office facilities. The government is willing to do whatever it can to support the HKIAC to help Hong Kong become a regional centre for international arbitration.

The Secretary for Justice, Mr. Wong Yan Lung, went on to say that “With the expansion of the HKIAC, I am confident that businesses around the world will find Hong Kong even more attractive as a preferred venue when it comes to arbitration, as well as setting up businesses.”
