Christians Must Play a Pivotal Role in Conflict mediation

After decades of conflict in the Middle East, Bill Tammeus thinks that “something obviously has failed dramatically right in the midst of a land claimed as sacred by the three great Abrahamic faiths.”

After reading the “Elusive Peace” book authored by Douglas E. Noll, Tammeus has concluded that “much of that failure must be blamed on people of faith who have been so bogged down protecting their exclusivist religious turf that they have failed to wage peace with modern tools that might well have achieved it.” Various mediation techniques should be utilized by international politicians and negotiators to help resolve these religious conflicts but they often aren’t.
