Legal Mediation Team to Settle Medical Disputes

Medicals disputes are on the rise in Shanghai, China and thousands of people will often do anything to get the maximum compensation from hospitals. To help address the rising medical disputes, “the city launched the third-party mediation team to complement the current resolution to medical disputes that includes lawsuits, patient-hospital consultation and the public health bureau’s mediation.”
Shang Zhongqiang is an official with the Shanghai Justice Buruea and said, “People will have a new choice now” because the service is free to patients. The new mediation team consists of more than one-hundred members including judicial and medical expertise and will hopefully help resolve the ever-increasing number of medical disputes.
