Unlikely Breakthrough in Karabakh Mediation

Karabakh mediation ‘connected with Medvedev’s future role’

Member of the expert council of the Russian Duma’s nationalities committee is interviewed. She discusses how President Medvedev is hosting a summit at the end of the month with presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia to discuss the Karabakh. Given that Medvedev’s role as mediator is mostly strategic, it is unlikely that a breakthrough will occur.
