Venezuela Withdrawing from World Bank Arbitration Arm

President Hugo Chavez said Friday that Venezuela’s government will ignore future decisions by the Washington-based International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes, a World Bank-affiliated arbitration body, involving any business disputes in the South American country. Venezuela has already begun formally withdrawing its membership.
