Diabetes Drug Claims Resolved

Glaxo Uses Mediation to Settle Almost 25,000 Avandia Diabetes-Drug Claims

Today, GlaxoSmithKline Plc settled nearly 25,000 cases about its Avandia diabetes drug in mediation as the multi-district litigation was winding down. US District Cynthia gave the parties 75 days back in November 2011 to resolve 85% of the casesand it seems likely that with todays “major success” the parties have met that threshold.
