BCTF Calls Legislation to End Labour Dispute ‘Bullying’, Will Seek Mediation

The teacher’s union, B.C. Teachers’ Federation, continues to negotiate and push for mediation with its employers. In what seems like a step that can only make the situation worse, the provincial government recently ordered legislation to end the bargaining process. The BCTF President said, “Bullying legislation will just exacerbate the situation. It will make matters worse. It will break even further relationships.”
