International Tribunal Says Chevron’s Ecuador Arbitration May Proceed

Nineteen years ago, the legal battle began between Chevron, one of the world’s biggest oil companies, and residents of Ecuador’s Amazon region who sued in local court to hold Chevron accountable for environmental damage. The Permanent Court of Arbitration administers the international tribunal who recently made it latest decision to hear the claims.
