Arbitration Award for Sex Discrimination Reviewed

Court of Appeals Upholds Arbitration Award

The arbitration award for a female manager’s state sex discrimination claims was challenged. In upholding her award of more than $200,000 for damages, attorneys’ fees, back pay and costs, the Court of Appeals said “there was ample evidence from which a reasonable factfinder could conclude that…[Ruby’s] sex was a motivating factor in her termination.”
