High Court Rules on Payday Loan Dispute

Payday Loan Disputes Must Be Resolved in Arbitration

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled last year that companies were allowed to arbitrate contrary to state laws. The recent ruling noted that “the high court said it is not unfair for a payday loan contract to require arbitration to settle disputes” and sent the case involving a woman who sued a title lender back to a lower court for further proceedings on the contract.
