Egypt to Attempt Syria Mediation

Egypt is hoping to mediate in the crisis between Sudan and South Sudan, the country’s foreign minister said on Sunday in the heat of the most serious border clashes since the South’s independence. Mohammed Kamel Amr met with Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir, stating, “I came here to listen to the Sudanese vision about the crisis and tomorrow I’m going to Juba to listen to South Sudan.”
