Environmental Mediation Over Tree Removal for Project

No New Agreement on Group Health Trees following Mediation Discussion

City of Redmond and representatives from the Group Health spent nine-hours in mediation but the parties failed to reach an agreement about moving more than 1,000 trees to make way for the new development in Overlake. Robert Berg, co-chair of Sustainable Redmond, said “We’re in support of transit-oriented, high-density development. We just think that it can take place in harmony with some tree preservation.”
