Judge Orders Mediation in Idaho Death Case

The Press Seek to Ensure Death Penalty Procedures Comply with First Amendment

Members of the Associated Press filed suit against the governor and the Department of Correction to demand the right to see all stages of human executions. The Ideaho Press Club President said “We in the press take our responsibility to serve as the eyes and ears of the public very seriously” and the Plaintiffs hope to bring the press witnesses into the chamber approximately 25 minutes earlier than is otherwise set forth. The parties are headed to mediation in an attempt to resolve this dispute.
