Nurses Accept Offer to Mediate Contract Dispute

Santa Monica RNs Postpone One-Day Strike, Accept Offer for Mediation to Resume Contract Talks

Nurses at Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica have decided to postpone the strike set for Wednesday June 13 to allow a day of mediation. Jack Cline, a Medical-Surgical Department RN at the hospital says, “The decision to postpone the strike was really a no-brainer. Mediation gives both sides the chance to step back and refocus on the task at hand - negotiating a contract to improve the quality of care at our hospital and to ensure we can advocate for our patients for years to come.”
