New Mediation Centers Releive Courts in Kashmir

As Number of Litigated Cases Grow, Mediation Grows

The government in India is establishing more and more mediation centers as the backlog of cases continues to increase due to the increase in population, education, and awareness of rights. Retired judge and mediator Ghousia-ul-Nisa Jeelani says “Increase in court cases led to establishment of mediation centers.” A mediator-attorney notes, “Various sessions - joint and individual - are held to resolve matter amicably. Feasible options are explored.”
