Detroit Casino Council Looks for Mediator

The Detroit Casino Council is looking for a mediator to help negotiate the terms of the four-year labor agreement between the workers and MGM Grant Detroit. The workers rejected the proposed agreement. It’s not clear when the mediation between the unions and the city’s largest casino will begin, but the casino will continue to operate until then.

Spokeswoman for the casino, Yvette Monet said, “The agreement, as all such agreements are, is very complex and the DCC may need more time to answer questions or clarify specific provisions within the agreement.”
