A private nonprofit organization, the Mediation Institute has been training professional mediators since 1992 around the nation. A regional course will be offered in December in Illinois as a CLE credit. The program satisfies the requirements of the Illinois Bar Association to qualify as a professional mediator under local and state laws.

The course will focus on teaching mediation techniques to resolve a wide variety of family law matters including divorce. The attendees will receive a certificate. As mediation trainings become more frequent around the United States, it is important to consider the institution offering the course as well the type of certification they are offering.
