Settling School Disputes Before They Escalate

At local middle school in Los Angeles, students learn how to resolve conflict and coexist peacefully with their classmates thanks to a program funded by the Center for Civic Mediation which is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization. “Such programs have been around for decades, but at Maclay Middle School, peer mediation has only recently become one of many strategies to reduce the number of violent incidents.”
