Charles Jago’s Role as Mediator Questioned

The Labor Relations Board in British Columbia has rejected the teacher’s union request to suspend mediation. The teacher’s federation asked the board earlier this month to fire the mediator, Charles Jago, due to a bias in favor of the government. While the mediation was on hold, “the Labour Board’s associate chair Michael Fleming has ruled the BCTF won’t suffer irreparable harm if it has to attend the sessions, while the board contemplates removing Jago.”
