South Sudan Questions Mbeki Mediation

The government of South Sudan has voiced frustration with the African Union High Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) led by former South African president Thabo Mbeki, which is attempting to mediate its dispute with Sudan. The South Sudanese government has suggested that the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) should step into the mediation process on post-independence issues.
