Sudan, South Sudan to Continue Mediation

African Union mediators announced on Saturday that Sudan and South Sudan have agreed to continue negotiations over unresolved issues as scheduled, twenty four hours after Juba’s decision to suspend the talks. On Friday morning, South Sudan accused the Sudanese army of bombing some villages along its northern border, wounding two civilians, and told African Union mediators that it was suspending the talks to protest the air strike.
