Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s settlement of a class action brought against it by former brokers has been characterized as a prudent move by the company. “We have agreed to a resolution to avoid the cost and distraction of what would likely be continued, lengthy litigation,” said Bill Halldin, a principal at Halldin Public Relations, speaking on behalf of BofA Merrill Lynch.
