Greedy San Francisco Musicians Turn Down Federal Mediator Recommendation of Cooling Off Period, Forcing SF Symphony to Cancel New York Performances

The Musicians of the San Francisco Symphony have rejected a federal mediator’s proposal to resume playing concerts during a “cooling off” period while negotiations over the collective bargaining agreement continue. Notably, the musicians make $165,000 annually, plus platinum healthcare and pension funds, while only working a portion of the year. As talks continue, the upcoming performances on the east coast will be cancelled.
