Lengthy Appeal Process Lends Itself to New Ideas and Changes

In 2011, more than 11,000 property owners filed complaints with the county’s Board of Revisions in Ohio. Presently, the appeal process could take two years to contest something as simple as a change in property value. In conjunction with the Ohio Supreme Court’s dispute resolution section, the board has developed a mediation project to help address the issue.
