Arbitration Ends Dispute Over Blogger’s Publication of an Email

An arbitrator rules that blogger, Perez Hilton, did not breach any promises of privacy by showcasing a woman’s email which has been characterized as a “mean-spirited rant.” With the dispute over, “the lesson that can be drawn is that ‘gossip’ and ‘privacy’ go together like peanut butter and mayonnaise.” The small-print in the website’s terms and the dispute over the language and meaning are partly to blame for the long drawn out disputes.
