No Winners in Litigation

Prior to April 1, lawyers could take cases on a “no win, no fee” basis due to the event (ATE) insurance premium they could collect on top of their fees if the claim was successful. New changes in the Civil Procedure Rules will change this, balancing the needs of the litigants with the resources available. With these changes, mediation is increasing.
