The different approaches to mediation

The term mediation is in many ways vague. There are different approaches used by mediators: “Mediation could be evaluative, facilitative, or transformative.” There are also different types of mediation depending on the stage of litigation: “There are differences between pre-filing and post-filing mediations.” There are different requirements for mediation: “Is the mediation voluntary or mandatory, as it is when parties file a Request for Order Regarding Child Custody and/or Visitation agreement.”
