NFL Labor Deal Possible “Within Next Week or So”
February 21, 2011
Former Georgetown professor, George Cohen, is tapped to mediate a collective bargaining agreement. Without an agreement by March 3, the NFL may impose player lockouts.
Allowing Cohen (a former union-side attorney) to mediate the dispute is proof that the parties are earnestly working towards an agreement. Hopefully, the mediator can utilize past experiences and employ “the art of collective bargaining” to help the parties reach an agreement.
