NFL Lockout, Day 3: Kraft family issues statement

Despite a proposal from the NFL that involved a 14% increase in compensation, the player’s union left the deal on the table—instead initiating litigation against the club. Patriot Owner Robert Kraft issued optimistic statement to its season ticket holders regarding the expired collective bargaining agreement.

With a letter in the mail telling season ticket holders that they will be reimbursed for each game missed with 1% annual interest accrued until refund is paid, the dispute is finally becoming real to the fans. An outcry from the fans could be the needed pressure to get the parties to come to an agreement before April 6 when the NFL players go before a federal judge.
