Consumer Protection Finance Bureau Study on Arbitration Clause Revealing

A recent study shows that arbitration clauses are on the rise in consumer contracts. With the recent case law surrounding arbitration clauses in the class action context, Congress has been asked to issue a detailed comment on arbitration clauses. “It’s the beginning of a process, also mandated by Congress, to examine whether the clauses help or hurt consumers.”
