African Union Suspends Sudan, South Sudan Talks

The African Union has suspended talks between the Sudanese government and the rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement North (SPLM-N) over humanitarian access to rebel-controlled areas in northern South Sudan. Talks over humanitarian aid to the South Sudanese states of Blue Nile and South Kordofan are deadlocked, as the Sudanese government has refused SPLM-N’s involvement in the distribution of the humanitarian assistance.
