Uganda: ‘Mediation Fastens Dispensation of Justice’

The Chief justice, Benjamin Odoki, urges more people to become trained mediators: “The beginning was not easy as we registered a low success rate of about 8%. However, I am informed that the figure has gone up to about 25% which are settlements that are concluded in far shorter than trials and relieve the judicial officers of 100% of all cases filed.”
