Clifton Police Union Reject Contract Offer

With Clifton Policemen Benevolent Association's (PBA) rejection of the city's latest contract offer, the matter heads to arbitration. PBA President notes that a big problem with arbitration is that it is unlikely to address the low starting salary for the department's newest officers: "Even if [the arbiter] agrees with us, he can't award us anything over 2 percent."
