What "Feud-Breakers" Can Bring to the Table

Workplace conflict costs companies an estimated $359 billion a year in the US alone in 2008 according to CPP, Inc. Mediators can serve as "Feud-Breakers" to assist with the so called "white-collar warzone where the weapons are insults, tears and aggrieved silence" and where  the "combatants are colleagues who can’t stand each other." Put simply, "Hostilities escalate and the damage amounts to billions of dollars in absenteeism, sick leave, litigation and decreased productivity." Is mediation the answer?
