Sewer & Water Board dispute heads to mediation

The attorneys for the Sewerage & Water Board and five homeowners who are suing the utility for property damage claims stemming from Uptown drainage projects agreed Wednesday, February 28, 2018 to participate in mediation and continue the upcoming trial for one week. The lawsuit involves more than 300 residents and businesses and the recent agreement to participate in mediation comes a day after five businesses settled earlier this week for more than $2 million in damages from the utility.
